Wheat Production Transition Towards Digital Agriculture Technologies: A Review

Digital agriculture technologies offer significant potential to improve wheat yield and grain quality through optimized, site-specific input management. This review analyzes the global adoption of digitalization in wheat production and identifies key technologies used in crop management. Using a PRISMA-based systematic review of 113 studies published between 2015 and 2025, it highlights regional differences in research activity. Remote sensing dominates the field, with satellite and UAV platforms being the most widely used technologies. The study emphasizes the need to expand digital agriculture in less developed regions and supports policy-driven approaches to benefit small and medium-scale farmers.
