Domestic swine underwent a neuritis induction surgery targeting a unilateral common peroneal nerve (CPN), where 3 segments of 3-0 silk suture were tied tightly around the CPN. Prior to, and following surgery, the subjects were evaluated on a weekly basis using a "feather test" and an "algometer test." Additionally, at necropsy, in four animals, muscles of the lower leg were dissected and weighed to identify differences compared to their contralateral side. This data accompanies figure 8 in Griswold et al. (1). (1)Griswold ED, Zabriskie MS, Scarpa L, Goold E, Odeen H, Shah LM, Rieke V.
