Intellectual Property Rights and Open Science: A Scoping Review on Tensions, Synergies, and Pathways to Alignment The file includes two bibliographic datasets retrieved from major academic databases, one coded dataset of included studies, and one document describing the scoping review process. Contents of the file 1. Scopus retreived.xls This file contains bibliographic data for 2,034 documents retrieved from the Scopus database. Records were exported directly from Scopus and include the following fields: - Title - Link - Abstract - Author Keywords These records represent the initial pool of literature identified from Scopus for screening in the scoping review. 2. WoS retrieves.xls This file contains bibliographic data for 907 documents retrieved from the Web of Science database. Each record includes the following fields: - Article Title - Author Keywords - Abstract These records represent the Web of Science contribution to the initial literature pool considered for the scoping review. 3. IPR_OS_Scoping_Review_Data_Coding_Sheet.xlsx This file contains the final coded dataset for 266 articles included in the scoping review after screening and eligibility assessment. Each row corresponds to one article, with data extracted under the following heads: - Article Title - Type of Article - Name of Journal or Conference Series - Year of Publication - DOI (if mentioned) - Authors - Keywords (if any) - Discipline/Field of Study - Aim/Objective of the paper - Type of Study - OS Practice(s) Discussed - IP instrument(s) Discussed - Stakeholders Studied - Geographical Focus of the Study - Mention of OS-IP Interaction - Factors Influencing OS-IP interactions - Main Arguments/Findings/Outcome - Policy Discussions for OS-IP in the paper - Proposed Solutions or Recommendations - Successful models mentioned in the document for OS-IP (if any) - Issues that Require a Concerted OS-IP Approach This dataset forms the main analytical basis for the scoping review. 4. PRISMA Chart.docx This document provides the PRISMA flow diagram and supporting information describing the scoping review process. It documents the identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion stages, including the number of records retrieved, excluded, and included at each stage.
