Résumé fourni par la source

This document describes the Product Validation Plan (PVP) for satellite validation within HyperBOOST. The document is largely based on the methodology from the recent HyperNETS PVP (HyperNETs 2023) and associated publications by Concha et al. 2021 (which focuses on the validation protocol) and González Vilas et al. 2024b (which focuses on the match-up data base infrastructure). The key extension of HyperBOOST from HyperNETS is the inclusion of IOPs and BGC samples within the validation framework, in addition to radiometry. Due to the hyperspectral capabilities of the new PACE and PRISMA missions, collecting a comprehensive hyperspectral bio-optical set for satellite validation in coastal waters is particularly valuable and timely. There is therefore ongoing development of hyperspectral validation methodologies, and we note areas of the PVP that may be refined over the course of the HyperBOOST project.
