Version 1.3 Updates Check and control on "." vs "," decimal delimiter for both variable input and pixel size. The script should now address the recurring problem with OS that use comma as decimal point. Delineation tool: 'InputDer' referenced before assignment issue in the Geomorphons delineation tool resolved. Descriptor Tool: Updated AVI calculation, which was failing at out_Var_aspect = FocalStatistics(out_int_aspect, neighborhood, "VARIETY") - in 1.2 it is "VAR" Clip the geomorphons polygons before doing the area calculation for the percent cover in CoMMa Description, this assures that the percent cover calculations are exact and no areas external to the delineations is considered. The Geomorphons landform % cover calculation now comprises all 10 geomorphons for both positive and negative delineations. Peaks and Pits number is calculated for both positive and negative delineations. Recurring issues with "Extract by mask" in Volume Descriptor have been addressed substituting the tool with "Clip raster" New Additions: Multiple volume options: In the volume descriptor tool the user is asked if they want to use the old, slow, iterative spline-based calculation or two new, faster methods. The options now are (in brackets the processing speed using ArcGIS Pro 3.4 on a Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13950HX, 64Gb RAM): Plane fitting/IDW (~ 30 sec). Volumes and optimised heights are calculated using simply the Elevation Void Fill across the entire dataset. Global spline (~18 min). A splined base surface is calculated, but the surface is created for the entire input dataset, clipping narrow strips of DEM around the delineated features, and extrapolating a base spline surface using them, without iterating each feature. Iterative spline (~2h 30 min). Each feature is clipped separately, and the base neighbourhood for the spline is calculate expanding the feature border (1 pixel boundary) using a median focal statistics. For the spline-based method, the user is asked now to insert the tension weighting (standard = 10). Volume calculations from the different interpolation methods may vary, especially for bigger landforms. On the CoMMa paper dataset the spline measurements were more conservative but generally very similar to the fast calculation. New tool in Descriptor: Extrema Calculator. It extracts highest or lowest (or both) points of features and it saves them as a separate shapefile(s);
