Design and Implementation of a GSM-Based Fire Alarm System Using ATmega328P
Résumé fourni par la source
Fire represents a devastating threat to both human life and natural ecosystems, characterized by its uncontrolled spatiotemporal combustion. To mitigate this danger, this project details the design and implementation of an automated, GSM-based fire protection system. The system core is an ATmega328P microcontroller (Arduino Uno platform), which processes input from integrated smoke and flame sensors to detect fire inception. Upon confirmation of a threat, the system triggers two critical responses: it activates an audible alarm and sends immediate SMS alerts to pre-programmed authorities via a GSM SIM900A module. Furthermore, as an active suppression measure, the controller actuates a solenoid valve to control the flow of water or extinguishing agents. This project encompasses a study of fire phenomena, the selection of appropriate sensors, system programming in C/C++, and hardware integration. The resulting prototype demonstrates a cost-effective, reliable, and rapid-response solution for early fire detection and automated initial intervention, highlighting the practical application of embedded systems in enhancing safety.
