A Case of Extranodal NK/T-cell Lymphoma, Nasal Type That Required to be Differentiated from Hypertrophic Rhinitis

We report a case of extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, nasal type that required differentiation from hypertrophic rhinitis. The patient was a 33-year-old man who presented with the chief complaints of left nasal obstruction and epistaxis. The initial examination revealed nasal septal deviation with bilateral swelling of the inferior nasal concha, and bilateral ethmoid sinus opacities on CT. The endoscopic sinus surgery was performed and the left inferior turbinate mucosa was biopsied, but histopathology revealed no evidence of malignancy. Postoperatively, the patient developed fever, facial swelling, intranasal necrosis, and perforation of the nasal septum, and a repeat biopsy revealed the diagnosis of NK/T-cell lymphoma.
