This project aims to improve the trustworthiness of research in pain psychology by clarifying how key psychological concepts related to chronic pain are defined and measured. Using state-of-the-art methods, the project critically evaluates existing self-report questionnaires at the level of concepts and individual items, involving researchers, clinicians, and patient partners. All materials, analyses, and outputs will be systematically documented and shared in open repositories, contributing to reusable knowledge resources and a formal ontology to support cumulative and transparent science.
