Selecting a Source Guideline for Adaptation: A Scoping Review

Guideline adaptation refers to a systematic approach of assessing whether an existing guideline requires modification or can be endorsed for use in a different setting or context. A key step to this process is the selection of appropriate source guideline(s) or source recommendation(s). Currently, no standard approach exists for this process, thus, this scoping review aims to determine, through qualitative content analysis, what is known about this process. This work will identify a list of key considerations for selecting source guideline(s) or source recommendation(s) for adaptations.
