This deliverable presents the IMPULSE Consortium’s strategic guidelines for simplifying metadata practices within the digital cultural heritage sector, with a specific focus on their application in immersive Multi-User Virtual Environments (MUVEs). This work is a primary outcome of Work Package 3 (WP3), established to address the growing need for efficient and easily applicable standardisation practices to facilitate data sharing across complex, interactive, virtual digital platforms. In an evolving landscape, simplification is positioned not as a reduction of quality, but as a strategic necessity for achieving the Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) principles that underpin the IMPULSE project's overarching mission.
