Output power is a fundamental parameter of any radiation source, and its accurate measurement requires reliable radiant power detectors. Reliable measurements can only be achieved if the detector calibration can be traced back to a primary standard as operated by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), the National Metrology Institute of Germany. However, significant spectral gaps for traceable detector calibrations remain in the extended THz range, spanning from 100 GHz (3 mm) to 30 THz (10 µm). In this work, we present our latest advancements for traceable detector calibrations for the WR 3.4 waveguide band (220 GHz to 330 GHz), which is crucial for the 6thgeneration of communication technologies (6G), and for the range from 8 µm to 17.7 µm, overlapping with the long-wave infrared (LWIR, 8 µm to 15 µm).
