The protocol is titled “Optimization of Severe Acute Malnutrition Treatment: A Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of Dynamic vs. Static Dosing Protocols in the Sahelian Context (Burkina Faso),” hereafter referred to as the Combined Cohort Modeling Analysis (CCMA). It is registered on the Open Science Framework to ensure transparency and reproducibility. The study is conducted by Geoffrey Manda, an Epidemiologist and PhD fellow in Epidemiology. The principal investigator is affiliated with Queen Mary University of London. This protocol has been designed in strict accordance with the Consolidated Health Economic Evaluation Reporting Standards (CHEERS 2022) statement and adheres to the International Decision Support Initiative (iDSI) Reference Case for economic evaluation in Global Health. The planned analysis prioritizes transparency through full code disclosure, ensures local relevance by adopting a societal perspective, and rigorously characterizes uncertainty via comprehensive probabilistic sensitivity analysis.
