This article aims to understand how the Pará author Clóvis de Gusmão, who published in the Revista de Antropofagia and transited between Belém, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in the 1920s, proposed, through humor, the dissolution of Brazilian legislation and its reconstruction based on Amazonian folklore and indigenous beliefs that, according to anthropophagic belief, were closer to the national reality and not copies of foreign documents.
