Educação Emocional nas Escolas: preparando estudantes para os desafios do século XXI

In today's educational landscape, emotional education is emerging as a key element in promoting the well-being and all-round development of students. The growing recognition of socio-emotional competencies is driving educators, researchers and policymakers to integrate it more effectively into the school curriculum. This raises the guiding question of our investigation: how do emotional education programs prepare students to face the challenges of the 21st century? Faced with this complex question, this study proposes an integrative review of the literature on emotional education in schools. The main objective is to investigate both the relevance and the impact of these programs. To achieve this, we outlined specific objectives: (1) to analyze the theoretical foundations of emotional education, (2) to investigate the benefits associated with the programs and (3) to explore different implementation models and evaluate their effectiveness and long-term sustainability. It is hoped that this analysis will provide valuable insights not only for educators, but also for researchers and educational policymakers.
