Le résumé fourni par la source

Payment habits are an important part of individuals’ everyday financial decisions and are closely linked to the social, economic, and technological environment. In recent years, significant changes have been observed in this area: in addition to traditional cash transactions, electronic and digital payment methods, such as bank cards, mobile applications, and online transfer solutions, are becoming increasingly popular. The choice of payment method is influenced by a number of factors, including age, generation, educational attainment, access to technology, and level of financial awareness. The use of digital devices is more common among younger generations, while older age groups tend to stick to cash. Similarly, bank card and mobile payments are more common among people with higher levels of education, while cash dominates among those with lower levels of education. Payment habits can therefore be interpreted not only as a technological issue, but also as social patterns that reflect individuals’ financial culture, sense of security, and ability to adapt to a changing economic environment. The study of payment habits provides an important basis for financial service providers, retailers, and policymakers to develop targeted improvements and educational programs that take into account the needs and capabilities of different social groups. The aim of the study is to examine the forms of payment used in physical purchases, broken down by generation and educational attainment. The research contributes to a deeper understanding of the social determinants of financial behavior and provides a basis for the development of targeted development and communication strategies.
