Secure and Efficient Coverless Image Steganography Algorithm Based on Higher Frequency Pixel with Tribonacci Matrix

With recent rapid progress in information technology, the security of information exchanged via the Internet has become one of the most important problems. Steganography is a powerful solution for this problem. Coverless image steganography conceals the data in an image without modifying its pixels, thereby overcoming the limitations of steganalysis tools. This paper proposes a method that depends on coverless image steganography. It uses a mapping process, which is established by XORing between the encrypted text and the image sequence. This sequence is generated from the image, based on the statistical frequency of pixel values from the image histogram. Encrypted secret text is encrypted using a modified way that depends on the Tribonacci matrix. The proposed method can use a gray or color image. The experiment shows that the method demonstrated superior robustness against various image processing attacks compared to other related works, which averaged 96.4%. Repeating the image sequence allows us to reach infinite capacity.
