Le résumé fourni par la source

This study explored a color-light interaction design scheme aimed at alleviating negative emotions, such as stress and anxiety, experienced by patients during waiting periods. The scheme integrated color-light interaction with breathing exercises to achieve a soothing effect. A comprehensive evaluation method—combining subjective assessments, electroencephalography (EEG), and photoplethysmography (PPG) monitoring—was employed to conduct an emotional assessment experiment. The study examined the distinct impacts of different colored lights and breathing frequencies on emotional relaxation by analyzing participants' EEG data, measuring heart rate variability (HRV), and incorporating subjective evaluations. The findings indicated that integrating green or cyan light settings with breathing exercises at frequencies of 4.5 or 5.5 seconds per cycle markedly stimulated the parasympathetic nervous system, enhanced HRV, and successfully mitigated negative emotions in the waiting population. Based on these findings, methodologies for color-light interaction design aimed at fostering emotional relaxation in waiting spaces were developed and applied in the design of color-light interaction devices, which were subsequently demonstrated and evaluated using virtual reality (VR). This work presents an innovative design approach for enhancing waiting area environments at the interaction design level, offering both theoretical foundations and practical references for color-light interactions that alleviate negative emotions.
