Le résumé fourni par la source
Prior to the expansion of a granite quarry in Lan Ar March, which straddles the municipalities of Trézilidé and Mespaul in Finistère, a 2.2hectare excavation was carried out. This excavation documents thousands of years of occupation of the Haut-Léon plateau, from the Bronze Age to the early Middle Ages. Although subtle, the Bronze Age remains bear witness to an early structuring of the territory. During the late La Tène period, a structured ditch enclosure reveals an organized habitat influenced by coastal architecture. This occupation continued into the Gallo-Roman period, during which time land parcels were reorganized, reflecting a gradual acculturation. In the early Middle Ages, semi-excavated buildings associated with fire pits reflect a coherent rural settlement. Diachronic analysis of the site highlights the continuity of settlement dynamics and the persistence of agricultural patterns in a context that preventive archaeology in Finistère has yet to fully explore.
