Le résumé fourni par la source
When modeling inductors and transformers with high-contrast magnetic materials using the Partial Element Equivalent Circuit (PEEC) method, two simulation issues may arise with increasing frequency. Firstly, conventional excitation methods may lead to inverted current distributions at the excitation terminals, resulting in incorrect extraction of lumped parameters. Secondly, for the short-circuit model of the transformer's secondary winding, the field cancellation effect generated by eddy currents can easily cause erroneous magnetic flux density distributions. This paper aims to propose possible solutions to the above issues through various numerical constraint methods. The PEEC method used is based on a tetrahedral mesh, accounting for capacitance effects, and employing an independent loops search technique to enhance the electromagnetic conservation properties of unknowns. In response to the phenomenon of inverted current distributions, two excitation methods of voltage source and current source are analyzed, and a method constraining terminal node currents is ultimately proposed to address this issue. In addressing the issue of erroneous magnetic flux density distributions resulting from field cancellation, considerations of selecting different discretized unknowns for magnetic media are explored in addition to the above methods, but the problem remains unresolved. The purpose of this paper is to reveal potential challenges of the PEEC method in simulations involving high-frequency and high-contrast magnetic materials and to introduce some attempted solutions for future research as valuable references.
