Le résumé fourni par la source

Marine biofouling and corrosion present persistent challenges for marine infrastructure, while increasingly stringent environmental regulations necessitate the development of sustainable, waterborne, and bio-based protective materials. In this study, fluorine-containing waterborne polyurethane (xF-SWPU) coatings were synthesized from renewable vegetable oils, integrating antifouling and anticorrosion functionalities within a single material platform. The effects of fluorocarbon chain length on emulsion stability, film microstructure, surface characteristics, thermal stability, and protective performance were systematically evaluated. The resulting xF-SWPU films exhibited remarkable resistance to microbial and diatom adhesion, achieving a maximum antifouling efficiency of 91.49 %. This improvement arises from fluorine incorporation, which reduces surface energy and enhances hydrophobicity, thereby suppressing both initial settlement and long-term attachment of marine organisms. Moreover, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and polarization analyses revealed superior anticorrosion performance. Specifically, the coatings demonstrated an impedance modulus of up to 4.89 × 10 9 Ω·cm 2 , a reduction in corrosion current density by 2.73 × 10 −11 A/cm 2 . These findings demonstrate that the synergistic strategy of bio-based synthesis and fluorine modification enables the development of sustainable polyurethane coatings with dual antifouling and anticorrosion properties. Such coatings provide an eco-friendly and high-performance solution for marine engineering and shipbuilding, offering both theoretical insights and practical potential for environmentally benign protective technologies.
