Naturally produced phenolic compounds with an extensive range of chemical and biological characteristics are known as Hydroxycoumarins (HCs), a subclass of coumarins recognized by hydroxyl substitutions on the benzopyrone ring. Numerous plant species contain these compounds, and they have anticoagulant, antioxidant, antibacterial, and photoprotective activities. The assortment of uses and potential for sustainable applications of HCs have prompted to their growing significance in the fields of health, agriculture, and material sciences in the past several years. In addition to emphasizing their role in inclusive development by supporting sustainable agriculture, equitable health care, environmental protection, and advances in technology, this research explores the significance of HCs in scientific and technological progress. Through interdisciplinary integration, research based on HCs can promote global advancement in line with sustainable and inclusive principles.
