Résumé fourni par la source
Sustainable agriculture necessitates a paradigm shift beyond fragmented practices toward a holistic approach that acknowledges the complex interconnections between human, animal, plant, and environmental health. This chapter explores One Health collaboration across diverse disciplines and levels to promote the development of sustainable agricultural practices that benefit human well-being, animal welfare, plant health, and environmental integrity. By fostering communication and cross-disciplinary research across human, animal, plant, and environmental sectors, the One Health collaboration presents solutions for improved disease prevention, enhanced food safety, and a deeper understanding of the agricultural ecosystem. Furthermore, it outlines potential future directions for strengthening One Health collaboration in sustainable agriculture, emphasizing the need to overcome challenges, prioritize ethical considerations, and leverage untapped opportunities for global collaboration. This vision paves the way for building resilient agricultural systems that safeguard human, animal, and plant health while protecting the environment, contributing to a more sustainable, equitable, and healthier future for global agriculture, and ensuring food security for a growing global population.
