Adsorption and catalysis are two of the most promising methods for the removal of volatile organic compounds. Here, flexible nanofiber membrane poly(arylene sulfide sulfone)/nitrogen bismuth subcarbonate (PASS/N-BOC) was successfully fabricated via electrospinning and an in situ growth method. The uniform deposition of N-BOC nanoparticles on the PASS nanofibers enlarged the surface area, provided abundant active sites and oxygen species, and expanded the light absorption range, leading to an enhanced adsorption capacity (0.58 μL/mg) and a deep photodegradation efficiency of 45.8% for dichloromethane (CH 2 Cl 2 ). Meanwhile, an innovative in situ detection setup based on an optical emission microplasma system was introduced for the first time. This system enabled the continuous and accurate monitoring of CH 2 Cl 2 levels in real time. The CH 2 Cl 2 removal process and mechanism are also proposed. Notably, the PASS/N-BOC nanofiber membranes demonstrated high filtration efficiency (99.96%) and low pressure drop (124 Pa) for PM 2.5, indicating strong potential for industrial applications.
