Le résumé fourni par la source
Joint Communication and Sensing (JCS) is an emerging technology widely studied for automotive applications, factory environments, etc. However, limited research exists on its concrete deployment for aeronautical purposes. This article discusses the system, architecture, and performance aspects of deployment of JCS for low-level airspace monitoring. Based on the minimum operational requirements for air-to-air radar traffic surveillance, we propose a novel sensor-fusion architecture, which considers both JCS on the physical layer, as well as goal-oriented protocols on the transport layer. Numerical experiments show promising results in terms of said requirements, in both FR-1 and FR-2 bands.
