The transition towards eco-friendly energy is vital for advancing sustainable growth and tackling climate change, especially in rapidly expanding nations like India This exploration aims to undertake a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the scholarly landscape surrounding the development of green energy efficiency in India. The Scopus database was employed for the aggregation of all literature on green energy, with the utilization of R studio for the analysis of the Scopus file, and VOSviewer for the visualization of data. The standard bibliometric analysis was utilized to present the growth of publications, research productivity, and citation analysis. A sum of 225 documents were obtained according to the results of the search. The increase in the rate of expansion of Review articles has remained steady since 2020. Most of the publications were released in the Journal of Cleaner Production. The terms Energy efficiency, alternative energy, Climate change, and sustainable development were commonly utilized and symbolize the main areas of investigation covered within green energy efficiency in India. This research delineates the progression of the review literature on green energy efficiency in India and delineates the current research interests and potential avenues for future research. This bibliometric study acts as a beneficial tool for policymakers, academics, and industry professionals, offering guidance for future research endeavors and policy frameworks aimed at improving energy efficiency and sustainable development goals in India.
