Noise pollution is a growing problem in urban centers, impacting the population's quality of life and requiring effective measures for its diagnosis, action planning, and control. In recent years, Brazilian public agencies, such as city halls, have advanced in environmental noise management by incorporating new technologies, such as sound level meters and acoustic modeling software, with CadnaA being one of the main tools used for this purpose. This study presents the development of a pilot noise map in the central region of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, using the tools available in the CadnaA software. The objective is to assess the spatial distribution of noise levels in the urban area and understand the impact of different noise sources. This research represents the initial stage of a broader citywide diagnosis, which may support future actions aimed at mitigating environmental noise. The results obtained will serve as a reference for formulating action plans, contributing to the development of effective strategies for urban noise management. The implementation of these measures aims to create more controlled and healthier urban environments, ensuring greater well-being for the population and promoting the acoustic sustainability of cities.
