Identifying and Validating Student Characteristics for Poor Performance in a Pharmacy Calculations Course

Objective: Pharmacy calculations are crucial for practice and licensure examinations. This study aimed to be the first to confirm the external validity of the correlation between an algebra-based pre-assessment, published at another school of pharmacy, and assessment performances and identify variables associated with poor assessment performance. It is hypothesized that this algebra-based pre-assessment and student characteristics predict poor assessment performance on pharmacy calculations.
