Market access barriers and challenges among farmer producer organizations
Résumé fourni par la source
Small and marginal farmers' economic standing is greatly improved by Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), which enable market participation and group action. Through direct talks with agribusiness companies and contract farming agreements, FPOs might potentially obtain better prices in the organic food industry. These partnerships guarantee steady market connections and equitable prices for farmers in addition to doing away with unscrupulous intermediaries. Farmer associations' operational capability can also be greatly increased by offering them financing without collateral. By investing in value addition, processing, and marketing initiatives, FPOs can boost revenue creation through fast and cost-effective financing. Through these initiatives, FPOs are able to achieve financial independence, sustainability, and the ability to provide rural agricultural communities with long-term advantages.
