ABSTRACT The study explores the impact of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) and Tactical Green Banking Orientation (TGBO) on Sustainable Business Performance (SBP), with the antecedents Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Stakeholder Pressure (SP). Underpinning research paradigms—“Resource‐Based View (RBV)” and its supportive “Stakeholder Theory”—aided in framing the methodology, data collection, analysis, and survey questionnaire. We surveyed 160 branch managers from all 36 DSE‐listed banks in Bangladesh using structural equation modeling. The results indicate that CSR significantly enhances SBP and is positively related to both TGBO and SP. Stakeholder Pressure is positively linked with GHRM but not with TGBO. While GHRM positively impacts SBP, it does not significantly influence TGBO. TGBO positively influences SBP and mediates the relationships between CSR and SBP with direct impact, and also mediates SP and SBP with indirect impact. Again, GHRM mediates CSR and SBP significantly with an indirect impact. These findings underscore the importance of TGBO in augmenting CSR's impact on SBP. Bank policy planners should prioritize TGBO and CSR initiatives to enhance sustainability and emphasize proper stakeholder engagement in setting green banking strategies. It contributes to RBV and Stakeholder Theory by positioning TGBO and GHRM with the bank's sustainability goals to reinforce long‐term competitive advantage.
