Le résumé fourni par la source
With the continuous advancement of semiconductor technology, the demand for compact and efficient power management solutions is increasing. This study evaluates the performance of a Constant-On-Time (COT) controlled DC-DC buck converter implemented in both Planar and FinFET process technologies. Simulations are conducted to analyze key performance metrics, including efficiency, transient response, undershoot voltage, overshoot voltage, line regulation, load regulation, and ripple voltage. The results indicate that while 16nm FinFET technology offers higher integration and potential power savings, Planar technology still provides competitive efficiency and cost advantages. This study offers insights into the trade-offs between different process technologies for DC-DC converter design, helping researchers balance efficiency, cost, and integration requirements.
