Research on the Evaluation of National Competitiveness of Comprehensive Transportation

The transportation industry indicator is an important part of the evaluation index system of international competitiveness, but the international competitiveness evaluation of the comprehensive transportation industry has not been studied. Domestic and foreign competitiveness research results were summarized and analyzed in this paper, then the connotation and evaluation index system of national competitiveness of comprehensive transportation was put forward, and the comprehensive index method was selected to measure the national competitiveness index of comprehensive transportation. In the case analysis, China, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Japan were selected for calculation in this paper; China’s calculation results showed that the transportation industry has a strong supply capacity to serve the country’s economic and social development, but the score of the national competitiveness index of comprehensive transportation is low. Therefore, it is suggested to accelerate the promotion and participation in the construction of international transport channels and hubs, establish an efficient global logistics and supply chain service system, cultivate a number of large-scale multinational enterprises in the transportation industry, and strive to improve the international status of the transportation industry and the voice to speak in international transportation affairs.
