The amount of work-family conflict and job satisfaction of nurses have been remained unclear during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study was conducted to determine the effect of work-family conflict experienced by nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic and job satisfaction. In this cross-sectional study, 338 nurses were selected using the multi-stage random sampling method. Data collected by a three-part survey including demographic information, Carlson WFC questionnaire, and JOB SATISFACTION tool was used. Two postgraduate nurses completed the questionnaires during the nurses’ break. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, independent t -test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression with SPSS Win 17.0 program. The highest and lowest conflict score allocated to the time-based work interface family (7.57 ± 3.25) and strain-based family interface work scores (6.34 ± 3.02), respectively. However, the mean score of FIW was significantly different in the workplace, clinical work experience, and work shifts (p < 0.05). Besides, the mean score of internal job satisfaction was different based on gender and workplace significantly (p < 0.05). A significant difference was observed in the mean score of external job satisfaction related to income level and workplace (p < 0.05). WFC and job satisfaction have a weak positive correlation, significantly (p < 0.001). Although the overall WFC and its subscales scores were high, the nurses showed a moderate to high level of job satisfaction. Improving nurses’ working conditions in terms of salary, employment, and respect during the pandemic could justify the fact that despite the high level of conflict, satisfaction remained good among caregivers
