In the context of the new era, integrating campus red culture into the ideological and political education of college students is an important measure to implement the fundamental task of 'moral education.' Combining it with contemporary hotspots such as serving the country through science and technology and rural revitalization can effectively address current issues in red culture education, such as being 'disconnected from reality' and 'losing appeal.' This paper takes Chengdu University of Technology as a research sample and, through literature review, case analysis, and empirical investigation, first analyzes the core logic of integrating contempo-rary hotspots with campus red culture (value alignment, demand adaptation, carrier adaptation). Secondly, based on effective questionnaire data, it identifies issues in the integration, including content disconnection, monotonous forms, and scattered participants. Finally, it proposes inno-vative paths from three dimensions—content, form, and mechanism—including constructing a layered content system of 'Red Spirit × Contemporary Hotspots,' creating digital immersive ed-ucational scenarios, and establishing a multi-dimensional collaborative support mechanism, aiming to provide a reference for universities to enhance the effectiveness of red culture ideo-logical and political education.
