Continuous-Time Sequential Production Simulation Method for New Energy Power Systems

With the rapid expansion of renewable energy integration, accurate assessment of renewable energy accommodation capacity and improvement of its utilization level require sequential production simulation for power systems, which provides critical support for renewable energy planning and development. Conventional sequential production simulation typically performs power flow calculations at discrete time intervals. To achieve high simulation accuracy, frequent sampling of system operating parameters and repeated computations are necessary, resulting in heavy computational burdens. This paper proposes a continuous-time modeling-based sequential production simulation method for power systems. By employing Bernstein polynomial interpolation, the power curves are piecewise fitted, where each segment can be uniquely determined by a few interpolation coefficients. This approach reduces computational complexity by converting numerous sampled data points into a limited set of interpolation coefficients. The proposed method is validated on a modified IEEE 33-node distribution network. Results demonstrate that the method maintains high simulation accuracy while significantly reducing computational load, enabling sequential production simulation at a continuous-time scale.
