To address the critical issue of structural health monitoring, this paper proposes a structural damage identification method based on transmissibility functions, aiming to achieve accurate identification of structural damage. The specific implementation steps of this method are as follows: First, the acceleration transmissibility functions of two adjacent points are accurately calculated under two different working conditions, i.e., the healthy state and the damaged state of the structure, which serve as the basic data for subsequent analysis. Then, a corresponding transmissibility matrix is constructed using the acceleration transmissibility functions obtained from the two states, and principal component analysis is conducted on this matrix. The damage identification process is simplified through data dimensionality reduction and feature extraction. Finally, whether the structure is damaged is determined based on the core criterion of whether there is a significant deviation in the principal components between the two states. To verify the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed method, this paper selects a relatively complex three-dimensional truss structure as the research object for case analysis. Experimental results show that the damage identification method based on transmissibility functions can not only efficiently perform damage warning and discrimination on the structure, timely detecting abnormal states of the structure, but also relatively accurately identify the damage location. It provides reliable technical support for structural health monitoring and has good prospects for engineering application.
