Le résumé fourni par la source
Modern agriculture heavily relies on synthetic fertilizers to enhance crop yields; however, their prolonged and intensive use has raised serious concerns regarding environmental degradation, soil health, and microbial diversity. This has prompted the urgent need for innovative, sustainable, and eco-friendly fertilization strategies. Among the emerging alternatives, biofertilizers and nanofertilizers have gained significant attention due to their non-toxic and environmentally benign nature. In particular, the integration of nanoparticles with biofertilizers termed nanobiofertilizers offers a promising approach by combining the benefits of both technologies to support sustainable and intelligent farming practices. Despite being in the nascent stages of development, nanobiofertilizers have shown potential to enhance nutrient use efficiency, support plant health, and minimize ecological footprints. This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of nanobiofertilizers, including the nanomaterials used in their formulation, classification, synthesis methods, and key developmental challenges. Additionally, we explore their environmental implications and evaluate their advantages over conventional fertilizers, highlighting their role in the future of sustainable agriculture.
