Postoperative Catastrophic Spinal Epidural Hematoma Due to Hemophilia C

CASE: A 19-year-old male patient with a thoracolumbar spinal fracture, who developed a recurrent postoperative spinal epidural hematoma (SEH) resulting in a progressive neurological deficit, is presented here. Detailed laboratory tests confirmed hemophilia C. Through a combination of meticulous medical management and surgical evacuation of the hematoma, the bleeding was stopped, and the patient recovered neurologically. CONCLUSION: This case underscores the importance of considering rare bleeding disorders, such as hemophilia C, in the diagnosis of patients with recurrent SEH.
