2025 Clinical Practice Guidelines for Diabetes
Résumé fourni par la source
Diabetes significantly impacts patient quality of life and health outcomes. According to the Fact Sheet published by the Korean Diabetes Association in 2024, approximately 5.5 million Korean adults aged 30 years and older have diabetes, and one in three adults aged 65 years or older is affected by the disease. Accordingly, the 2025 Clinical Practice Guidelines for Diabetes (9th edition) aim to provide evidence-based recommendations with clear levels of evidence and demonstrated benefits. These guidelines seek to enhance the quality of diabetes care by ensuring effective treatment, offering alternatives to reduce risks and avoid unnecessary interventions, and presenting management strategies suited to the realities of Korea. We hope that this revision will serve as a reliable resource in all clinical settings treating diabetes, ultimately contributing to the promotion of health and improvement of quality of life for people with diabetes. By reflecting recent clinical research findings and systematically reviewing the literature, we anticipate that the “2025 Clinical Practice Guidelines for Diabetes (9th edition)” will help all diabetes patients achieve their treatment goals.
