Organoid‐based novel technology for antitumor drug screening

Abstract Organoids are an emerging biomedical research model that can highly mimic the key physiological characteristics and biological functions of organs in vivo, achieving significant breakthroughs in tumor immunotherapy drug screening. With continuous technological innovation, the integration of organoids with emerging technologies such as gene editing, high‐throughput screening, artificial intelligence (AI), and 3D bioprinting has further expanded their applications in antitumor drug screening, particularly through the development of novel fusion models, such as organoid‐AI and organoid‐3D bioprinting platforms, paving new ways for constructing more complex and optimized model systems. Although organoid technology still faces limitations at this stage, these challenges are expected to be resolved in future research. This article provides an in‐depth analysis of the new strategies for using organoids in tumor immunotherapy drug screening, comprehensively reviews these innovative fusion models and their applications, and discusses the current challenges and future development trends in the application of organoid technology in antitumor drug screening.
