Aim: To present the development and implementation of a psychiatric early intervention service (FIPP) in Suresnes and Puteaux, France, aimed at improving early detection and intervention in young adults (16–30 years old) with emerging psychiatric disorders, particularly psychosis. Methods: The public mental health hospital Erasme and the Jean Wier outpatient center assessed existing gaps in care through data analysis (e.g., admission records from 2015) and surveys (2024). Results: A comprehensive reorganisation of mental health services was initiated, involving training for professionals, the creation of new services for age-appropriate care and the introduction of structured bio-psycho-social evaluation tools and standardised outcome measurement scales. The results show improved access to and structure of care, a diminished average age of participants and average length of stay, a diagnostic shift, and increased community engagement. Conclusions: A proactive, structured, and collaborative approach—combining workforce training, community engagement, transdiagnostic assessment, and patient-centered service delivery—can significantly enhance access to early psychiatric care for young adults in France.
