Hypoglycemia is a common yet potentially dangerous complication of diabetes, especially in workplace settings where physical and cognitive performance are critical.In high-risk professions such as driving, industrial operations, or healthcare, unaddressed hypoglycemia can jeopardize both individual and public safety.A concerning yet overlooked issue is the silence of diabetic employees regarding hypoglycemic symptoms-often driven by fear of stigma, job insecurity, or professional discredit.This letter to the editor explores the psychosocial roots of this silence and emphasizes the lack of structural and educational support in many workplaces.It calls for policy interventions aimed at creating a safer, more supportive environment for diabetic workers.Recommended strategies include awareness training, non-discriminatory policies, flexible break allowances, and integration of chronic disease considerations into occupational health assessments.These steps are essential to prevent adverse outcomes and to promote the wellbeing of both employees and the broader workplace community.
