Abstract The article deals with the response of an infinite micropolar double porous magneto-thermoelastic half-space in context of dual phase lag model with voids. The analysis considers the interactions within an isotropic, initially stressed, homogeneous, double porous thermoelastic half-space. The analytical expressions of displacements, temperature, coupled stresses, shear stress, and normal stress are obtained by Lame’s potentials and normal mode analysis technique. The numerical values of the expressions are evaluated using MATHEMATICA. The graphical results are presented to shown the effect of parameters such as the magnetic field, rotation, time, and initial stress. The study also compares different generalized thermoelasticity models to visualize the variations induced by these variables, and specific scenarios are discussed in the presence or absence of certain parameters. The results reveal that the presence of parameters and double porosity significantly increases the values of physical variables, especially with higher magnetic field, rotation and initial stress highlighting their considerable impact on the system’s dynamics. Specific cases are also discussed in the presence or absence of certain parameters. Although the problem is approached theoretically, the findings can be valuable across multiple scientific disciplines, including geophysics, earthquake engineering, and seismology, particularly for researchers involved in mining tremors and crustal drilling.
