Résumé fourni par la source

Economic effectiveness is a determinant of the health services market, which has been molded over many years by changes and reforms to the healthcare system, as well as processes typical of a consumerist economy. The patient is the primary focus of the system, and the provider’s primary responsibility is to satisfy the patient’s expectations by offering a highquality service. The staff’s compassion, the way they treat patients and their families, their professional demeanor, and their respect for intimacy and dignity all play a significant role in determining the quality of the services provided. Healthcare has relied on communication from ancient times to improve patient care, research, and outcomes. This chapter explores the dynamic growth of healthcare communication from symbolic gestures to the digital age. Empathy and early medical writings are examined in the history of healthcare communication. From telephony to electronic communication and telemedicine, the chapter covers the technological changes that have changed healthcare relationships. The digital transformation of healthcare communication and the impact of EHRs and mHealth 210 apps on patient-centric treatment are examined. The effects of social media on health information transmission and disinformation are also addressed. The chapter emphasizes data-driven communication and how big data, analytics, AI-powered chatbots, and virtual assistants improve healthcare results. Patient privacy, data security, and telemedicine laws are key ethical and legal issues. The chapter envisions seamless interoperability across varied systems, the integration of virtual and augmented reality (AR) for transformative medical experiences, and the ethical use of AI with a human touch in healthcare communication. The fifth generation (5G) healthcare approaches that are anticipated to bring forth more customer-focused and cost-effective healthcare are covered in this chapter, transforming consumers into the lifeblood of an ecosystem that benefits all parties involved. Because it promotes preventative treatment rather than care based on medical necessity, it will also influence people’s healthcare behaviors. Synergy between data and AI would be made possible by the extensive rollout of 5G technology in India. 5G will enable remote monitoring, realtime medical imaging, remote surgery, and medical data management in healthcare. These methods will help clinicians envision patients’ problems, reduce guesswork, and diagnose faster and more accurately. The chapter summarizes the evolution of healthcare communication, concluding that while technology advances, compassionate human interaction is essential to good communication. This synergy between innovation and empathy will transform how healthcare workers connect, cooperate, and offer care, improving patient outcomes and creating a more holistic healthcare environment.
