QUALITY 4.0: OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

Quality 4.0 is a concept that refers to the application of advanced technologies and practices in the field of quality management in order to sustain continuous improvement and excellence in processes and products.However, this is a concept that still needs to be widely disseminated.Therefore, this research aims to investigate opportunities and challenges in the development of scientific research into Quality 4.0.Based on literature reviews and systematic content mapping, which included Industry 4.0, this study was able to classify six major areas as research opportunities for this topic, as well as identifying four macrosegments of difficulties and limitations to scientific research in this area.It was found that, although quality is a subject intensively practiced in business management, the Quality 4.0 approach still has major limitations during its implementation.It was also possible to point out that Quality 4.0 control and management policies are still not well defined, and there is a need for greater scientific and technological development in this field.
