5052‐aluminum alloy is widely used in automotive and other fields, and its high‐temperature formability is crucial. Uniaxial tensile and Erichsen cupping tests were performedon 5052‐O aluminum alloy from 20 to 300 °C. Results indicate that the elongation of 5052‐O aluminum alloy progressively increases with rising temperatures, reaching a maximum of 58.33% at 300 °C. The tensile strength shows no significant variation within the 20–200 °C range but experiences a marked decline beyond 200 °C. Fracture surfaces between 50 and 300 °C predominantly feature large dimples with irregular tear ridges, where both dimple size and depth increase due to sufficient time for growth and coalescence at elevated temperatures, indicating temperature‐sensitive fracture characteristics. Erichsen cupping tests show a maximum Erichsen index value of 13.88 mm at 300 °C, confirming its superior formability at high temperatures. Furthermore, microstructural observations reveal that grains exhibit progressively elongated morphology with rising deformation temperature. Dislocation motion within grains becomes more active, accompanied by rearrangement of dislocations and a gradual increase in low‐angle grain boundary content. At lower temperatures, the predominant textures are deformation textures such as Goss, copper, and S. As the temperature increases, the Cube texture content rises significantly.
