Blockchain-Driven Framework for Enhancing the Voting System
Le résumé fourni par la source
Ensuring free, fair, and unbiased elections is essential for any democratic system. Traditional ballot-based voting methods face issues with voter fraud, manipulation, lack of transparency, and logistical inefficiencies. The decentralized blockchain approach proposed in this study addresses these issues by enhancing security and revolutionizing the voting procedure. The proposed model utilizes the SHA-256 hashing algorithm and Proof Of Work (PoW) consensus mechanism, incorporating immutability, transparency, and decentralization, to enhance its effectiveness. The vote is cast on a web-based application and each vote is recorded as a transaction. Facial recognition is used for voter verification. SHA-256 hashes the voting data and stores it securely on the blockchain. The Proof of Work (PoW) mechanism validates the data, ensures that only legitimate votes are added to the blockchain, and maintains the system’s integrity and transparency.
