Purpose: Patients with liver cirrhosis awaiting liver transplant (LT) are highly vulnerable to acute kidney injury (AKI) leading to significant morbidity and mortality. Our study aims to integrate clinical characteristics of the patients with transcriptomic profiles of their kidney biopsies, urine and blood biomarkers to differentiate patients without AKI from those with and without hepatorenal syndrome (HRS).
