Le résumé fourni par la source
Emerging evidence suggests that central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia (CCCA) can be classified as a fibroproliferative disorder, as it shares pathophysiological features with conditions such as uterine leiomyomas (ULs) and keloid scarring. Our findings from this retrospective cohort study comparing the prevalence of ULs in patients with CCCA with those with lichen planopilaris are supportive of this association. Further elucidation has the potential to inform strategies for earlier diagnosis and future therapeutic targets.
