Le résumé fourni par la source
Resilient tactical networks need to provide low-latency services for time-critical defense applications, and L4S (low-latency, low-loss scalable throughput) is a well-suited technology to provide sustained low latency even as the number of users increases. In essence, it depends on network-implemented packet marking and application-implemented congestion control to eliminate unnecessary queuing delays and enable scalable throughput from a few hundred kbps to unlimited rates. We evaluated its performance on a private 5G network and exhibited scalable throughput with persistent end-to-end low latency and sub-millisecond jitter, even when the air interface was congested by other user traffic. Note that as L4S is IP layer technology, it can be applied to a variety of military communication means without extra network reconfiguration.
