Abstract In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, many therapeutic techniques have been developed to effectively manage viral infections and mitigate the cytokine storm. Numerous scientific studies have shown the significance of antirheumatic medications in the management of COVID-19. This article aims to examine the role of antirheumatic medications in modulating the immune system and inhibiting the heightened inflammatory response in the body. Additionally, the study will explore the current uses and corroborating evidence of antirheumatic medications in treating COVID-19, with a particular focus on addressing the future long COVID-19 period and epidemic outbreaks.
